SCC Kids
Your first visit
From babies to fifth graders, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience.
When you arrive, our team will happily show you to the kid’s zone. You’ll go to the check in station and fill out a new guest card providing your child/children’s names and ages, your cell phone number in case we need to reach you and any allergies your children may have so we can better serve your family.
Both you and your child will get a sticker with a matching code.
Our goal is to create environments to see what God can do through kids. For kids to have a personal relationship with God, build a biblical foundation for their lives and grow with friends, all while having a ton of fun!
Nursery
Your child will experience personal care from our well-staffed team.
We keep our nursery rooms ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between services.
We know babies have specific needs and schedules, so when you bring your child to the classroom, we have an easy-to-use form that you can fill out to let our team know the feeding, sleeping, and changing needs your child has.
We also take time to love and pray for your child each week.
Preschool
In preschool, children start to engage more with their church experience, so we help them interact and build their faith through stories, crafts, and songs that give them Biblical truths. They also start to form relationships with other kids and their teachers.
Elementary
Most of their time is spent in their Small Group to give them the benefit of a consistent Group Leader and interaction with kids their age. Together, they learn about the Bible and how to have a relationship with God, memorize Scripture, and have fun developing friendships with each other.
Toddlers
Our room is designed with your child in mind. From age-appropriate toys and special service elements just for them, our team is ready to care for and have fun with your little one during service. Toddlers participate in fun worship songs based on the bible story, circle time where they engage in an interactive bible story and a short Stories of The Bible cartoon.

Service Experience
grades 1-5
Engaging in praise and worship
We invite God’s presence into our lives through praise and worship, and we want your children to grow up experiencing the joy and benefit of worshipping Him.
making friends in their grade level
God designed us for community, and we want your kids to build healthy relationships with other kids their age. Making friends and growing alongside their peers is an important part of their spiritual growth.
memorizing god's word
God tells us to hide His Word in our hearts (Psalm 119:11). One of the most important ways we help your children build a biblical foundation for their lives is by filling their minds and hearts with God’s truth through Scripture memorization.
age-specific learning
Kids need different things at different ages, and we want to help your child understand and learn God’s Word at the right pace. Each year, they’ll grow by engaging in age-specific learning that is relevant and interesting to them.
consistent small group leader
We want your kids to look forward to seeing a familiar face at church each week. As they build a relationship with their Small Group Leader, we hope they’ll share, ask questions, and feel supported and cared for as they grow in their faith.

Vacation Bible Experience
1 John 3:1
Jesus loves messy people! That’s good news for us, because we all have our own messes. What a Mess! VBX! is about how Jesus deals with our messes; our sins, mistakes, and weaknesses. Throughout the week we will look at the following questions:
• Why is the world such a messy place?
• How does Jesus respond to our messiest moments?
• How should we respond to our messes?
• What does Jesus do about our messes?
• What about other people’s messes?
All the while, we are going to have lots of messy fun, with messy snacks, games, crafts, and live worship! We are honored to partner with you; parents, to share the Bible with your children in a Jesus-centered way. We are going to have an awesome week!

partnering with parents
We believe the best way we can help your kids develop a strong spiritual foundation is by partnering with you. Together, we can help encourage, train, and pray for them as they grow in their faith.
Here are some practical ways you can help us make the most of your child’s time spent at church:
-
Be consistent in attendance to help your kids build a relationship with their Small Group leader and other kids their age.
-
Practice the weeks memory verse with your kids
-
Download the free SCC App to stay connected during the week.
-
Build relationships with other South Coast parents by joining the Family Life Group.
-
Pray for your children each week as they come to church and pray for our teams as they serve and care for your kids.
Locations
Nursery Preschool and Kid's Church are all located in the Education wing.
